General Mills Flour Recall
General Mills issued a recall for one date code of their Gold Medal Unbleached All Purpose flour due to potential E. coli contamination. Yikes. The affected product is “better-if-used-by” September 6, 2020. Make sure to check your flour to see if it’s part of the recall, and remember to always cook your baked goods thoroughly to avoid sickness.
Simply Smart Organics Gluten Free Chicken Breast
If you live in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio or Pennsylvania, and you purchased Simply Smart Organics Gluten Free Chicken Breast Tenders, you should know they were found to have wheat in them, and are thus under a recall.
Southeastern Grocers Peanut Butter Cookies
Southeastern Grocers issued a voluntary recall for an 18-pack of peanut butter cookies, and an 18-pack of a variety of cookies including peanut butter cookies because….wait for it…the label doesn’t have peanuts on it.
Non-profit of the week: "PAWS of Jackson Hole, WY"
PAWS of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is a non-profit that does a little bit of everything to support our furry friends and their families. They provide spay and neuter vouchers, deliver funding to local shelters, provide financial assistance to help folks pay emergency vet bills, have SafePAWS to help pets of victims of domestic violence, as well as an emergency shelter for pets if there’s a natural disaster, support TNR programs, provide Mutt Mitts to keep trails clean, and run dog parks (even during the winter time!) In short, this organization does just about everything they can to help make their community a safe and happy place for everyone who lives there. Pretty awesome!
